Chacun des nanofils comprend une première extrémité et une seconde extrémité. La couche de contact se couple électriquement aux nanofils par l'intermédiaire d'au moins la première extrémité de chacun des nanofils. Le shunt est couplé électriquement à la couche de contact. L'ensemble des nanofils sont sensiblement parallèles les uns aux autres. Une première résistivité de contact entre la première extrémité et la couche de contact va de 10-13 O-m2 à 10-7 O-m2. Un premier travail d'extraction entre la première extrémité et la couche de contact est inférieur à 0,8 électron-volts. La couche de contact est associée à une première résistance thermique allant de 10-2 K/W à 1010 K/W.
