Abstract

A device used to connect two pipes, comprising two parallel clamping jaws, one mobile and the other fixed, and intended to hold the pipes positioned end to end, in combination with a means of horizontal rods on which the mobile jaw moves closer to or further from the fixed jaw. On at least one rod, there is a rack means on which moves a sprocket means driving the mobile jaw. The sprocket means has stopping gear to hold the mobile jaw in a given position. Each jaw has a means of loosening or tightening its clamps in order to adjust the opening of the jaw to the section of pipe to be gripped.

US 7,523,533 Pipe joiner de Robert D. Cook et al. déposé le 11 juillet 2006, montre un outil pour joindre deux tuyaux l'un dans l'autre, comprenant des moyens de prise 106,118 en vue d'y attacher des moyens de pinces destinés à saisir des tuyaux en vue de les raccorder. OBJECTIFS ET AVANTAGES
11 y a un besoin dans le monde de la construction d'un dispositif permettant de raccorder des tuyaux facilement et rapidement, en minimisant les réglages préliminaires avant l'utilisation.
Notre dispositif permet le raccordement des tuyaux de petits et grands diamètres sans qu'il y ait frottement du tuyau inséré contre une paroi .. interne du tuyau récepteur, ce qui permet de ne pas l'endommager.

DESCRIPTION DU CONCEPT
Le dispositif comprend:
- deux mâchoires parallèles, une étant fixe et l'autre mobile, servant à
saisir deux tuyaux destinés à être raccordés.
- Un moyen de tiges horizontales reliant les mâchoires. Quelques unes de ces tiges sont munies de moyens de crémaillère.
- Un moyen de pignons joint à la mâchoire mobile et qui l'entraîne lors de son déplacement sur le moyen de crémaillère. La mâchoire mobile est ainsi rapprochée dc la mâchoire fixe jusqu'à ce que les tuyaux saisis par les mâchoires sont raccordés. Le moyen de pignons comprend un dispositif d'arrêt pour maintenir une position sur la crémaillère.
- Un moyen d'écartement ou de rapprochement des pinces de la mâchoire.
Le moyen d'écartement/rapprochement comprend une tige d'écartement des pinces étant horizontale et fixée entre les deux pinces de la mâchoire. FIELD OF THE INVENTION

PRIOR ART
US 7,523,533 Pipe joiner from Robert D. Cook et al. filed on July 11 2006, shows a tool for joining two pipes together, comprising catching means 106, 118 for attaching means pliers for gripping pipes in order to connect them. The outlet means 106,118 are respectively connected to two rods 110,114 telescopically joined, resulting in reconciliation (or distance) of the means taken, and also clamps and hoses attached by means of sockets. By applying a push (electric or manual) on the telescopic rod 114, the clamp holding the smaller pipe intended to being inserted undergoes a bending which facilitates the insertion of the small pipe. The one-ci during bending "rubs" the bottom (inside) of the large pipe to as it is pressed into it.
OBJECTIVES AND BENEFITS
There is a need in the world of building a device to connect pipes easily and quickly, minimizing preliminary adjustments before use.
Our device allows the connection of small and large pipes diameters without friction of the pipe inserted against a wall .. internal of the receiving pipe, which prevents damage.

CONCEPT DESCRIPTION
The device includes:
- two parallel jaws, one being fixed and the other mobile, used to grab two pipes to be connected.
- A means of horizontal rods connecting the jaws. Some of these rods are provided with rack means.
- A means of pinions attached to the mobile jaw and which drives it during of its movement on the rack means. The movable jaw is thus brought closer to the fixed jaw until the pipes seized by the jaws are connected. The pinion means includes a stop device to maintain a position on the rack.
- A means of spacing or bringing together the clamps of the jaw.
The spacer / approximation means comprises a spacer rod clamps being horizontal and fixed between the two clamps of the jaw. This rod can move along cavities made on the along the clamps, which widens or narrows the grip region of the pipe that is between the horizontal rod and the ends of the clamps in below the rod. The vertical displacement of the spacer rod is caused by three pivoting rods connected together and of which the three free ends are attached to the spacer rod, to a handle outside and to a vertical rod attached to the top of the jaw. This upper rod can be provided with means for fixing to heights variables. The positioning of the spacer rod of the grippers is done by manually operating the outer stick, which has the effect of raise or lower along the grooves of the grippers for the purpose of create a clamping of the pipes. DESCRIPTION OF PREFERENTIAL ACHIEVEMENTS
In the following description and in the accompanying drawings, the like numbers refer to like parts in the figures.
FIG.1A shows the tool 20 for connecting the pipe 22 to the pipe 22 '.
The tool includes two parallel 24.24 'clamping jaws with each of two clamps 26,26 ', one of the jaws being fixed (24) and the other mobile (24 '). La FIG.1B montre le dispositif 20' comprenant le moyen de tiges sur lequel toutes les tiges sont crémaillées 32,32' et sur lequel se déplace .. un moyen de pignons 34' disposé à l'arrière de la mâchoire mobile 24' et l'entraînant vers la mâchoire fixe. Cette disposition du moyen de pignons permet de ne pas gêner le raccordement des tuyaux car en aucun moment il ne se retrouvera entre les deux mâchoires. Un dispositif d'arrêt 41 permet de fixer la position de la mâchoire mobile sur le moyen de tiges.
Le prototype en utilisation actuellement dans le marché est construit tel que figuré dans la FIG.IB.

La fixation 58 sur la tige verticale 56 au haut de la mâchoire est plus élevée que dans la FIG.3 ce qui permet de surélever plus facilement la tige d'écartement 44 à une hauteur suffisante pour que la mâchoire tienne et serre le tuyau 22.
La FIG.5 montre la mâchoire 24 avec les pinces ouvertes à leur maximum. La fixation 58 est au plus haut sur la tige verticale de support et la tige d'écartement 44 au plus haut sur les pinces.
La FIG.6 montre la pièce dentelée 60 permettant une meilleure adhérence du tuyau saisi aux pinces et à la tige d'écartement. Cette pièce est installée au bout de chacune des pinces ainsi que sur la face inférieure de la tige d'écartement au contact avec le tuyau saisi. Le sens du pivotement est indiqué sur la figure.

Claims

Achievements for which an exclusive right of ownership or privilege is claimed, are defined as follows:

1. A device (20) serving to connect two pipes (22,22 ') placed end to end, said device (20) comprising two parallel clamping jaws fitted with collets, comprising cellars (46) arranged longitudinally, one of said jaws is movable (24 ') and the other is fixed (24) in combination with a means of horizontal rods (28) connecting said jaws and on which means (28) said movable jaw (24 ') moves, at least one of said rods comprising a means of rack on which moves a pinion means (34) driving said movable jaw (24 ') towards said fixed jaw, until said pipes (22,22 ') gripped by said jaws are connected;
said pinion means being provided with a stop device for holding said movable jaw to a given position, each of said jaws being provided with a means spacing or approximation (42) of said clamps in order to adapt the opening of said jaws to the sections of said pipes to be gripped, said means (42) for separating or bringing together said pliers including:
- a transverse spacer rod (44) comprising at its ends a means screw thread (62.62 ') sliding along said recesses (46,46 '), said spacer rod keeping said clamps apart to correspond with said sections of said pipes intended to be connected;
- a handle (54) actuating a rod (50) pivotally connected to two first and second stems (48,52), said first rod (48) actuating said spacer rod (44) and said second rod (52) connected to fixing means (58) in height;
by actuating said handle said first rod slides transversely said spacer rod (44) along said clamps to adapt their spacing to said sections of said pipes to grab;
said spacer rod being blocked at a height by means of said means fixing (58), each said pipes being clamped in a space formed between said clamps and said spacer rod.

2. The device of claim 1 wherein said rod means horizontal includes at least a smooth rod (30) and at least one rack rod (32).

3. The device of claim 1 wherein said fixing means (58) include rod graduated (56) disposed generally perpendicular to said rod spacer (44) and comprising means for blocking said second rod, this fixing said spacer rod.

4. The device of claim 1 wherein said grippers gripping said pipes are serrated for better grip.

5. The device of claim 1 wherein said jaws can to open independently to different openings corresponding to different sections of said pipes to be connected.

6. The device of claim 5 wherein said movable jaw clamps one of said pipes having a smaller section, said movable jaw is moved towards said fixed jaw until insertion of the smaller section in a larger section of pipe.
