Abstract
La présente invention a pour objet un matériau monolithique polymère comprenant des copolymères alternés formés par réaction radicalaire entre l'anhydride maléique comme monomère de base et des comonomères éthyléniques à caractère donneurs d'électrons. L'invention concerne également un procédé de préparation dudit matériau monolithique consistant en une réaction de polymérisation radicalaire d'une composition comprenant une composition de base comportant: de l'anhydride maléique comme monomère de base, associé à d es comonomères éthyléniques à caractère donneur d'électrons et/ou à d'autres monomères éthyléniques à caractère donneur ou accepteur d'électrons ; un mélange de solvants porogènes, ladite composition de base étant éventuelleme nt additionnée d'un amorceur thermique ou d'un photoamorceur.
Claims (24)
1. Matériau monolithique polymère à groupes fonctionnalisables caractérisé en ce que ceux-ci sont des unités anhydride maléique.
2. Matériau monolithique selon la revendication 1 caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend des copolymères alternés formés par réaction radicalaire entre l'anhydride maléique comme monomère de base et des comonomères éthyléniques à caractère donneurs d'électrons.
3. Matériaux monolithiques selon l'une quelconques des revendications 1 et 2 dans lesquels les fonctions anhydride maléique sont présentes d'une fonction polymérisable sur dix jusqu'à une fonction polymérisable sur deux.
4. Procédé de préparation de matériaux monolithiques selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste en une réaction de polymérisation radicalaire d'une composition comprenant une composition de base comportant:
- de l'anhydride maléique comme monomère de base, associé à des comonomères éthyléniques à caractère donneur d'électrons et/ou à
d'autres monomères éthyléniques à caractère donneur ou accepteur d'électrons ;
- un mélange de solvants porogènes, ladite composition de base étant éventuellement additionnée d'un amorceur thermique ou d'un photoamorceur.
- de l'anhydride maléique comme monomère de base, associé à des comonomères éthyléniques à caractère donneur d'électrons et/ou à
d'autres monomères éthyléniques à caractère donneur ou accepteur d'électrons ;
- un mélange de solvants porogènes, ladite composition de base étant éventuellement additionnée d'un amorceur thermique ou d'un photoamorceur.
5. Procédé selon la revendication 4 caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une réaction de polymérisation thermique d'une composition A comprenant la composition de base additionnée d'un amorceur thermique, ladite réaction étant réalisée à une température de 40 à 90°C pendant 1 à 6h.
6. Procédé selon la revendication 4 caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une réaction de polymérisation photochimique de la composition de base dégazée au préalable, ladite réaction comprenant les étapes suivantes :
i. remplir des objets contenants avec la composition de base homogénéisée et dégazée;
ii. placer les tubes remplis sous une lampe UV d'intensité
comprise entre 0,01 et 100 mW/cm2 pendant une durée allant de 20 min à 2h 30 min environ jusqu'à obtention d'un matériau monolithique.
i. remplir des objets contenants avec la composition de base homogénéisée et dégazée;
ii. placer les tubes remplis sous une lampe UV d'intensité
comprise entre 0,01 et 100 mW/cm2 pendant une durée allant de 20 min à 2h 30 min environ jusqu'à obtention d'un matériau monolithique.
7. Procédé selon la revendication 4 caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une réaction de polymérisation photochimique d'une composition B comprenant la composition de base additionnée d'un photoamorceur, ladite réaction comprenant les étapes suivantes :

8. Procédé selon la revendication 4 caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une réaction de polymérisation radiochimique de la composition de base, ladite réaction comprenant les étapes suivantes:
i. remplir des objets contenants avec la composition de base dégazée et homogénéisée ;
ii. irradier les objets contenants remplis avec des doses comprises entre 10 et 1000 kGy à un débit de dose compris entre 0,01 et 100 kGy/s environ jusqu'à obtention d'un matériau monolithique.

9. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 5 à 8 caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une étape supplémentaire iii. de lavage du matériau monolithique obtenu à l'étape ii. avec un solvant organique inerte pendant un temps correspondant à environ 100 volumes de colonnes.
10. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 5 à 8 caractérisé en ce que ledit procédé comprend une étape préalable, de traitement de la surface des parois qui servent de support auxdits matériaux monolithiques, par greffage avec des composés nucléophiles.
11. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 6 à 8 caractérisé en ce que les objets contenants comprennent des systèmes et dispositifs de géométries diverses, constitués de verre, de silice, de silicium, de matériaux polymères (thermoplastiques, réseaux, résines lithographiables) ou de la combinaison de ces divers types de matériaux, comportant des canaux ou des chambres dont le diamètre est compris entre 100 nm et 5 cm.
12. Composition de base mise en oeuvre dans le procédé de préparation de matériaux monolithiques selon l'une quelconque des revendications 4 à 11 caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend :
- de l'anhydride maléique comme monomère de base, associé à des comonomères éthyléniques à caractère donneurs d'électrons et/ou à
d'autres monomères éthyléniques à caractère donneur ou accepteur d'électrons ;
- un mélange de solvants porogènes, et en ce que:
- la fraction molaire en anhydride maléique, évaluée relativement au nombre de moles de fonctions polymérisables dans le mélange de monomères est comprise entre 0,1 et 0,5, préférablement comprise entre 0,2 et 0,5;
- la ratio monomères : solvants porogènes est compris entre 10-90%
et 25-75% en poids.

13. Composition A mise en oeuvre dans le procédé selon la revendication 5 caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend la composition de base selon la revendication 12 additionnée d'un amorceur thermique et en ce que l'amorceur thermique est présent à une concentration allant de 0,05 à 5%

Composition B mise en oeuvre dans le procédé de préparation de matériaux monolithiques selon la revendication 7, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend la composition de base selon la revendication 12 additionnée d'un photoamorceur, et en ce que le photoamorceur est présent à une concentration de 0,2 à 5% en poids.

Composition selon l'une quelconque des revendications 12 à 14 caractérisée en ce que les comonomères sont sélectionnés dans le groupe: styrène et dérivés styréniques mono ou multifonctionnels, éthers de vinyle mono ou multifonctionnels, dérivés N-vinyliques, esters acryliques et méthacryliques mono ou multifonctionnels, amides acryliques et méthacryliques mono ou multifonctionnels, N-alkyl ou N-aryl maléimides mono et multifonctionnels.
16.Composition selon l'une quelconque des revendications 12 à 15 caractérisée en ce que le mélange de solvants porogènes comprend au moins deux solvants sélectionnées dans le groupe : pentane, hexane, cyclohexane, éther de pétrole, toluène, dioxane, tétrahydrofurane, dichlorométhane, acétate d'éthyle, alcools.

Composition selon l'une quelconque des revendications 12 à 16 caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend de l'anhydride maléique et du divinyl éther de triéthylèneglycol avec un rapport en moles des insaturations maléiques et vinyliques de 1:1 dans un mélange de solvants acétate d'éthyle cyclohexane 50-50% en poids.
18. Composition selon l'une quelconque des revendications 12 à 15 caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend de l'anhydride maléique et du divinyl éther du bis-hydroxyméthyl-1,4-cyclohexane avec un rapport en moles des insaturations maléiques et vinyliques de 1:1 dans un mélange de solvants acétate d'éthyle : cyclohexane 50-50% en poids.
19. Matériau monolithique selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3 caractérisé en ce que les fonctions anhydride maléique sont fonctionnalisées par réaction avec des composés nucléophiles.
20. Matériau monolithique selon la revendication 19 caractérisé en ce que les composés nucléophiles sont ajoutés par perfusion ou sous forme de solution aqueuse, organique, hydro-organique d'émulsion, de mini ou microémulsion.
21. Matériau monolithique selon l'une quelconque des revendications 19 et 20 caractérisé en ce que les composés nucléophiles sont sélectionnés dans le groupe : composés organiques simples porteurs d'au moins une fonction nucléophile (comme des amines aliphatiques ou aromatiques, des alcools, phénols phosphines, et composés à hydrogène activé), des composés à
squelette hydrocarboné plus complexe et/ou porteurs de fonctions chimiques multiples, neutres ou ioniques, des oligomères et des polymères synthétiques, des protéines, des enzymes, des anticorps, des acides nucléiques.

Utilisation des matériaux monolithiques selon l'une quelconque des revendications 19 à 21 comme phase pour la séparation des molécules par une méthode chromatographique sélectionnée dans le groupe : d'affinité, par interaction hydrophobe, ionique, électrochromatographie, électrophorèse capillaire.
23. Utilisation des matériaux monolithiques selon l'une quelconque des revendications 19 à 21 comme réacteur support de réactif ou de catalyseur de réaction chimique ou enzymatique.
24. Utilisation des matériaux monolithiques selon l'une quelconque des revendications 19 à 21 comme support pour l'absorption, l'analyse et la détection de composés chimiques.
