Abstract
L'invention concerne une pile à combustible liquide directe (1) comprenant une cathode (4), une anode (3), une chambre de combustible (2), et au moins une membrane (8) placée entre l'anode (3) et la chambre de combustible (2). La membrane (8) est structurée et disposée de manière à permettre au gaz qui est formé sur ou à proximité de la surface de l'anode (3) faisant face à la chambre de combustible (2) d'accumuler à proximité de l'anode (3) au moins un point au niveau duquel le gaz accumulé empêche sensiblement un contact direct entre l'anode (3) et le combustible liquide. L'invention concerne également un procédé destiné à empêcher ou à réduire la décomposition de combustible dans la pile à combustible.
