Abstract
La présente invention concerne des nouvelles analyses homogènes permettant de déterminer la quantité de cholestérol à lipoprotéines de basse densité (LDL-C) et de cholestérol à lipoprotéines de haute densité (HDL-C), ainsi que la quantité totale de cholestérol dans un échantillon. Le procédé consiste : à former un complexe composé d'une première fraction de lipoprotéine et d'un agent complexant, tel qu'un anticorps, à l'aide d'enzymes afin de détecter le cholestérol dans la fraction de lipoprotéine non complexée ; à mesurer la quantité de cholestérol dans la fraction de lipoprotéine non complexée de manière à fournir une première valeur de cholestérol ; puis, à séparer la fraction de lipoprotéine complexée du complexant de sorte que le cholestérol soit disponible pour servir de substrat aux enzymes. La quantité totale de cholestérol présent dans l'échantillon peut ainsi être déterminée. En outre, la première valeur de cholestérol obtenue peut être soustraite de la quantité totale de cholestérol de manière à obtenir une valeur pour la première fraction de lipoprotéine présente dans l'échantillon. Eventuellement, une analyse de la triglycéride peut également être effectuée sur l'échantillon contenu dans le tube.
