Abstract

Dans un système de télécommunications filaire ou hertzien ou dans un réseau informatique, qui emploie une ARQ (Automatic Repeat Request) à répétition sélective pour transporter les états de réception des paquets de données destinés à une séquence de paquets de données regroupée en plusieurs blocs de paquets de données, on emploie une technique de tables de bits partielles pour améliorer l'efficacité, plus particulièrement par rapport à la largeur de bande. Ceci peut être réalisé, plus spécifiquement, en incluant dans le massage ARQ qui est envoyé du récepteur vers l'émetteur, un nombre de tables de bits partielles, en même temps qu'un nombre correspondant de numéros de blocs de tables de bits, un premier numéro de bloc de tables de bits identifiant l'un des blocs de paquets de données, la table de bits correspondant définissant l'état de réception des paquets de données dans ce bloc. Chacun des numéros restants de blocs de tables de bits identifie un bloc supplémentaire de paquets de données par rapport au premier bloc des paquets de données. En conséquence, les numéros restants de blocs de tables de données nécessitent moins de bits pour identifier les blocs correspondants des paquets de données.
