Abstract

On décrit une machine à traiter un conglomérat de particules récupérables liées par un agglutinant, tel qu'un conglomérat (20) de minerai diamantifère enfoui dans de l'argile. La machine comprend une bande transporteuse mobile (12) présentant une extrémité amont pour recevoir le conglomérat, une extrémité aval, et un premier groupe amont de buses de fragmentation (44A) pour diriger une série correspondante de jets d'eau de fragmentation (48) sur le conglomérat (20) pour le pulvériser. Un deuxième groupe aval de buses (46A) dirige en éventail une série correspondante de jets d'eau d'érosion (50) pour éroder l'argile obtenur par la pulvérisation du conglomérat, afin d'exposer les particules isolées de minerai diamantifère (54). On décrit en outre un procédé de traitement d'un conglomérat.
