Um aparelho para processamento de conglomerado é proporcionado para processar um conglomerado de partículas recuperáveis ligadas umas ás outras através de um meio de ligação, tal como um conglomerado (20) de minério de diamante embebido em argila. o aparelho compreende um transportador de correia em movimento (12) tendo uma extremidade à montante para receber o conglomerado, uma extremidade à jusante, e uma primeira fileira à montante de tubeiras de fragmentação (44A) para direcionar uma série correspondente de jatos de fluido de fragmentação (48) sobre o conglomerado (20) para quebrar o mesmo.
