Abstract
L'invention concerne un implant (50) d'occlusion du type transcathéter servant à obstruer la lumière d'un vaisseau, par exemple pour l'embolisation artérielle ou veineuse, le blocage de l'irrigation de tumeurs, la stérilisation masculine et féminine. L'invention concerne également un obturateur en matière plastique mousse à alvéoles ouvertes ayant de bonnes propriétés d'hystérèse qui a la forme d'une tige (51) munie de supports annulaires (52). L'implant (50) peut être comprimé et réduit jusqu'à atteindre une très petite taille puis s'agrandir de manière à entrer en contact avec la paroi interne du vaisseau et créer un ajustement serré à l'intérieur de la lumière du vaisseau afin d'assurer la fixation de l'implant. La construction en mousse à alvéoles ouvertes favorise la croissance tissulaire et contribue également à la stabilisation de l'implant.
