Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un instrument permettant d'implanter du tissu rétinien à l'intérieur de l'espace sous-rétinien de l'oeil. Ledit procédé consiste à introduire un fragment de tissu rétinien (120) à l'intérieur d'une busette tubulaire (110) d'un instrument en escamotant un mandrin (106) télescopé à l'intérieur de ladite busette, à inciser la région postérieure (70) de l'oeil, à inciser la rétine (68) de l'oeil de manière à exposer une zone cible de la sous-rétine, à insérer la busette de l'instrument à travers les incisions pratiquées dans la région postérieure et la rétine de l'oeil, et à escamoter la busette par rapport au mandrin de l'instrument afin de déposer le tissu dans la zone cible de l'oeil.
