Description

DOMAINE DE L'INVENTION
La présente invention concerne un outil de cuisine, et plus particulièrement un appareil pour peler des légumes de forme allongée, ovale ou ronde comme par exemple des concombres, des courges ou des navets, des carottes, des pommes de terre, ou autres. L'invention concerne également un appareil du type ci-dessus mentionné, incluant en outre, de façon optionnelle, des moyens pour couper les légumes en même temps qu'ils sont pelés.
De façon traditionnelle, les couteaux â peler sont constitués d'un manche muni d'une lame ayant une ou plusieurs fentes longitudinales, cette lame étant généralement droite ou légèrement courbée. Pour peler un légume ou un fruit à l'aide d'un tel couteau, il est généralement nécessaire de retirer la pelure par bandes étroites, ce qui implique plusieurs mouvements de la part de l'utilisateur.
RÉSUMÉ DE L'INVENTION
L'invention a pour objet un appareil pour peler un légume de forme allongée, ovale ou ronde, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend:
un support annulaire ayant un centre pourvu d'un trou dimensionné pour recevoir et laisser passer le légume à peler;
un nombre donné de couteaux montés sur le support annulaire de façon à pouvoir coulisser radialement vers le centre dudit support, lesdits couteaux étant répartis de façon égale tout autour du support et comprenant chacun une lame disposée tangentiellement à l'intérieur du trou de façon à
peler la partie adjacente du légume introduit et pousser dans ledit trou; et des ressorts pour appliquer de façon permanente une force radiale sur tous les couteaux en vue de les pousser vers le centre du trou.

Traditionally, peeling knives are consisting of a handle provided with a blade having one or more longitudinal slots, this blade being generally straight or slightly curved. To peel a vegetable or fruit using from such a knife, it is usually necessary to remove the skin in narrow strips, which involves several movements on the part of the user.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The subject of the invention is an apparatus for peeling a vegetable.
elongated, oval or round, characterized in that it includes:
an annular support having a center provided with a hole sized to receive and let pass the vegetable to peel;
a given number of knives mounted on the support annular so that it can slide radially towards the center of said support, said knives being distributed so equal all around the support and each comprising a blade arranged tangentially inside the hole so that peel the adjacent part of the introduced vegetable and push in said hole; and springs to permanently apply force radial on all the knives in order to push them towards the center of the hole.

3 DESCRIPTION DE PLUSIEURS MODES DE RÉALISATION PRÉFÉRÉS DE
L'INVENTION
Les figures 1, 2 et 2a montrent un appareil pour peler selon un premier mode de réalisation de l'invention. Cet appareil comprend un support annulaire 10 sur la circonférence duquel sont disposés quatre couteaux 12, disposés symétriquement à 90° les uns des autres. Chaque couteau 12 est monté de façon à pouvoir coulisser radialement vers le centre du support annulaire et comprend une lame 14 disposée â
l'intérieur du support. Tel qu'il est illustré, cette lame 14 est disposée dans le plan du support et orientée perpendiculairement au rayon de celui-ci. Chaque lame 14 peut être constituée d'une fine tranche de métal, d'un fil d'acier tendu ou de deux ou plusieurs fils d'aciers disposés à angle pour former ensemble une lame se rapprochant d'une forme courbe. Chaque couteau comprend également un ressort 16 disposé
entre la lame 14 et la surface intérieure du support 10. Ce ressort 16 qui sert à appliquer une force radiale sur le couteau 12 pour le pousser sur le centre du support 10 pourrait, en pratique, être remplacer par tout autre moyen équivalent. Pour assurer un guidage approprié des couteaux 12 dans la direction radiale et un maintien du ressort 16, chaque couteau présente deux branches latérales 20a, 20b et un branche centrale 22 montées de façon à pouvoir coulisser dans des trous 24 prévus à cet effet dans 'le support 10. Le rissort 16_ est enroulé autour et le branche centrale 22.
En usage, pour peler un légume 18 (voir Figure 3), il suffit d'enfiler celui-ci dans le centre du support 10 et d'y pousser, tel qu'il est illustré sur la figure 1. Les ressorts 16 amènent les lames 14 à pénétrer sous la surface du légume 18, ce qui permet ainsi de peler simultanément chaque côté de ce dernier.
Selon un second mode de réalisation préféré de l'invention, illustré sur les figures 3 à 5, l'appareil pour peler les légumes comprend deux supports l0a et lOb de structure similaire â celle illustré sur les figures 1 à 2a, qui sont superposés. Figures 1, 2 and 2a show an apparatus for peeling according to a first embodiment of the invention. Un troisième mode de réalisation préféré de l'invention est illustré sur la figure 6. Dans ce mode de réalisation, l'appareil pour peler comprend des couteaux 12 de forme différente de celle illustrée sur les figures 1 à 5. Chacun de ces couteaux 12 est muni d'une lame 44 fixée sur une monture rectangulaire 36. Chacune de ces montures 36 est insérée dans une cavité 38 s'étendant radialement dans l'anneau de support 10. Un ressort 40 s'étend entre le guide 36 et la surface intérieure du rayon externe de l'anneau 10.
Le support 10 peut bien sûr être de forme autre qu'annulaire. Ainsi, par exemple, il pourrait être octogonal tel qu'illustré sur la figure 7, qui montre un appareil du même type qu'illustré sur la figure 6, mais pourvu de deux supports l0a et lOb, superposés de façon à ce que leurs couteaux soient à 45° les uns par rapport aux autres pour s'adapter au maximum à la section du légume à éplucher.

Optionnellement, tel qu'illustré sur la figure 8, des guides d'entrée 42 peuvent être installés sur les couteaux 12, de façon à s'étendre dans une direction orthogonale au plan de ces derniers. It will be understood that the apparatus for peeling illustrated on a Figures 1 to 5 could, if desired, be attached to inside a case, cylindrical or otherwise, for facilitate its handling.
A third preferred embodiment of the invention is illustrated in FIG. 6. In this embodiment, the peeling apparatus includes shaped knives 12 different from that illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 5. Each of these knives 12 is provided with a blade 44 fixed on a mount rectangular 36. Each of these frames 36 is inserted into a cavity 38 extending radially in the support ring 10. A spring 40 extends between the guide 36 and the surface inside of the outer radius of the ring 10.
The support 10 can of course be of another shape that annular. So for example it could be octagonal as illustrated in Figure 7, which shows a device of the same type as illustrated in figure 6, but provided with two supports l0a and lOb, superimposed so that their knives are at 45 ° to each other to adapt as much as possible to the section of the vegetable to be peeled.

Optionally, as illustrated in FIG. 8, entry guides 42 can be installed on the knives 12, so as to extend in a direction orthogonal to the plane of these latter. These entry guides 42 allow adjustment

1. A device for peeling an elongated, oval vegetable or round, characterized in that it comprises:
