Abstract

An oyster tray for holding, displaying and opening bivalve shellfish e.g. oysters, has its surface made with a series of recesses (2) shaped to receive one oyster each, with an anchor (3) adjacent to each recess shaped to receive a gripper on the device for opening the shellfish, e.g. a wire passed round its adductor muscle.
