Abstract
Un article moulé ou extrudé, réalisé en un copolymère de propylène et d'une .alpha.-oléfine supérieure (c'est-à-dire ayant 5 atomes de carbone ou davantage) obtenu en utilisant un système catalyseur du type alliage organométallique offre une bien meilleure résistance au fluage à froid et une bien plus grande résilience que lorsque ce copolymère de propylène contient une .alpha.-oléfine ayant 4 atomes de carbone ou moins. D'autres caractéristiques telles que la résistance à la rupture et la résistance aux impacts sont aussi nettement plus élevées. Ces polymères peuvent être utilisés d'une manière avantageuse pour réaliser des profilés extrudés et des pièces moulées soit seuls, soit dans une oléfine thermoplastique. Les pièces réalisées en copolymères de propylène et d'une .alpha.-oléfine supérieure ont une résistance améliorée au fluage par comparaison avec les copolymères de propylène et d'éthylène.
