Abstract

The industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of the motor scooter shown in the drawings; the motor scooter presents a step-through frame formed from an upper front structure, a front leg shield area, a generally symmetrical and flat floorboard, and a rear structural area with a saddle situated above the rear structural area; the front end of the floorboard merges into the front leg shield area which in turn merges smoothly into the lower end of the upwards extending symmetrical upper front structure; the front leg shield area presents a front surface which curves upwards and forwards in side view and is situated on either side and to the rear of the front fender which curves forwards and downwards from the front leg shield area; the upper front structure presents a symmetrical downwards and forwards smooth curved front surface with a central elongated generally v-shaped area thereon; the v-shaped area presents a series of closely spaced apart vertical lines over most of the surface thereof; the upper front structure also presents downwards and rearwards curved side surfaces each of which presents a generally triangular recessed front light areas with slightly curved side edges situated close to the lower end of the elongated generally v-shaped area; the upper front structure presents a concave rear surface in side view; the upper front structure merges into a symmetrical forwardly projecting handle bar section which presents a top cover section and downwards and forwards pointing generally triangular headlight area which is curved from side to side and presents outwardly curved sides and rounded corner areas in front view; the handle bar section also presents a pair of wing-like handle cover areas which extend outwards from the top cover section; the saddle is symmetrical and presents a generally elongated ovate shape in plan view; the forward portion of the rear structural area presents side surfaces which slope inwards away from the saddle forward end of the saddle and then flare outwards to the floorboard; the upper edge of the outwards flared section of the rear structural area curves upwards and rearwards to adjacent the rear lower edge of the saddle; the front surface of the flared section of the rear structural area is curved forwards and the lower portion thereof presents a pair of symmetrically situated generally biconvex recessed areas therein with a bridging element extending between the ends of each open area; the upper rear of the rear structural area presents an upwards and rearwards projecting and curved in plan view handle-like element. The applicant disclaims the wheels and tires, the front and rear shock absorbers, the side stand, and the performance part and performance part accessories of the motor scooter.
