Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a food mill having a forward-facing generally U-shaped in plan view main body portion, a handle portion and a crank portion; the handle portion has a smooth curved front section with convex sides and rounded ends in plan view; a circular opening passes laterally through the front section of the handle portion adjacent the front end thereof; a band extends around the front section of the handle portion adjacent the lateral opening therein and merges into a rear section of the handle portion comprising two spaced-apart lower portions, a bottom surface extending between the two spaced-apart lower portions, and two side wall portions; the two spaced-apart lower portions gradually diverge towards the rear of the food mill and then bend downwards and rearwards to form a V-shape between them where they merge into the forwardly-facing generally U-shaped main body portion; the two side wall portions of the handle portion also diverge towards the rear of the food mill and merge into the side walls of the generally U-shaped main body portion; the upper edges of the two side wall portions curve upwards and merge into the upper edge of the generally U-shaped main body portion and the lower edges of the two side wall portions merge into the upper edges of the two spaced-apart lower portions of the handle portion; the generally U-shaped main body portion has spaced-apart side walls, a bottom wall portion, and a laterally extending rear wall; the spaced-apart side walls have aligned generally identical large circular areas adjacent the bottom of the side walls; the laterally extending rear wall curves outwardly from the upper edge of the U-shaped main body portion and merges into the outer circumference of the two large circular areas; the bottom wall portion has a large opening therein; the opening having parallel straight side edges and slightly curved lateral edges; a continuous narrow groove extends across the rear wall of the generally U-shaped main body portion and then extends along the side walls where curves above the two large circular areas and then bends downwards and forwards across the two spaced-apart lower portions and the bottom surface of the handle portion; a series of spaced-apart cutter blades situated between spaced-apart grates are situated between the side walls of the generally U-shaped main body portion;the crank portion has a wedge-shaped knob portion with smooth closely spaced-apart upper and lower surfaces; the knob portion is situated at the end of the crank arm which bends inwards from the knob portion towards the adjacent side wall of the U-shaped main body portion and merges into the center of the large circular area situated on the side wall.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a top perspective view from the right side of the design of the food mill;Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof;Fig. 3 is a bottom plan view thereof;Fig. 4 is a right side view thereof;Fig. 5 is a left side view thereof;Fig. 6 is a front view thereof; and Fig. 7 is a rear view thereof.Diagrams of the design are included.
