Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a motorcycle, the novel design features of which are the front fender with the fairing and the fuel tank cover which has two sections situated on either side of the fuel tank between the front fender and the motorcycle seat;the front fender with the fairing has a fender section which merges through a smooth curved transition area into an upper fairing section; the fender section has a front portion and a rear portion; the front portion curves forwards and downwards to a curved end and has side walls which extend downwards along the length of the front portion; the front portion also has a central curved channel which tapers forwardly and which extends part-way along the length of the front portion; the rear portion of the fender section curves downwards and rearwards and has generally triangular outside areas situated on either side of the fairing section;the fairing section has a large, generally rectangular opening with the headlight therein situated at the lower end thereof adjacent the transition area and has side walls situated on either side of the opening which extend rearwards to the generally triangular areas of the fender section;the fairing section has an upper area which extends upwards and rearwards, the upper area having side walls which extend downwardly therefrom and merge into the side walls situated on either side of the generally rectangular headlight opening;the fuel tank cover sections are generally mirror images of each other, each section having a warped surface shape and a generally arrow-shaped forward end section which merges into a central section which, in turn, merges into a rear section of the fuel tank cover section; the forward end section has an upper arm area which bend rearwards and merges into an intermediate area having a rounded forward end situated adjacent the front hydraulic forks of the motorcycle; the intermediate area, in turn, merges into a lower arm area which bends rearwards and has slightly concave end with a rounded outer corner; the upper arm area and the adjacent intermediate area and the lower arm area and the adjacent intermediate area have generally v-shaped spaces between them;the intermediate area of the forward end section merges into the central section of the fuel tank cover sections which, in turn, merge into the rear end section of each of the fuel tank cover sections; the rear end edge and the upper edge of the rear end section generally converge towards an upper end area of the rear end section of each of the fuel tank cover sections; the upper edge of the central section and the upper edge of the rear end section of each of the fuel tank cover sections extend along the lower edge of the adjacent areas of the motorcycle seat.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a right side view of the design for a motorcycle;Fig. 2 is a left side view thereof;Fig. 3 is a top view thereof;Fig. 4 is a rear view thereof;Fig. 5 is a front view thereof;Fig. 6 is a perspective view from the right front of the design for the motorcycle; andFig. 7 is a perspective view from the left rear of the design for the motorcycle.Diagrams of the design are included.
