Abstract

peptídeos bioativos curtos para modulação celular e imunológica peptídeos tendo quatro a quatorze resíduos que possuem atividade biológica são divulgados. estes peptídeos constituem fragmentos curtos do peptídeo hb-107 (id. de seq. n°: 1), que o próprio é um fragmento da proteína antimicrobiana cecropina b, e exibem propriedades estimulatórias, migratórias e anti-inflamatórias celulares. como queratinócitos são especialmente sensíveis a estes efeitos, os peptídeos divulgados compreendem um agente útil para o tratamento médico de ferimento à pele, tal como úlceras diabéticas. os peptídeos são também eficazes em prevenir e reverter dano à superfície da pele resultando de vários insultos ambientais. de forma importante, os efeitos terapêuticos dos peptídeos manifestam em concentrações iguais ou maiores que as do peptídeo hb-107, e assim representam um meio menos caro, mais versátil para desenvolver terapias eficazes. os métodos para a produção e uso destes peptídeos são também divulgados.
