Abstract
catalisador de melhor desempenho lightoff. trata-se de catalisadores de gás de escape automotivos com uma colméia metálica composta de camadas de folha corrugada e lisa, sabe-se que a capacidade térmica e a condutividade térmica da colméia podem ser reduzidas por perfurações nas camadas de folha. como resultado, a colméia esquenta mais rapidamente e o revestimento catalítico aplicado sobre a colméia atinge sua temperatura operacional mais rapidamente. uma desvantagem é a redução na área de superfície de suporte pelas perfurações nas camadas de folha. de acordo com a invenção, o ajuste adequado das propriedades da suspensão de revestimento usada para o revestimento catalítico e das dimensões dos orifícios um com relação ao outro permite que os orifícios sejam permanentemente preenchidos com material catalítico. o catalisador resultante possui, na mesma concentração de revestimento de um catalisador com camadas de tolha não-perfuradas, a capacidade térmica e condutividade térmica signifivativamente reduzidas.
