Abstract

Composição de moldagem com resistência ao impacto modificada e método. é descrito um método para a preparação de uma resina de acrílico/estireno/acrilonitriía (ASA), o qual compreende as etapas de: (a) polimerizar uma mistura compreendendo ao menos um monómero acrilato e ao menos um agente de reticulação de modo a formar um substrato de borracha, seguida por (b) polimerizar a mistura de monómeros na presença do substrato de borracha, ao menos um destes monómeros sendo selecionado do grupo que consiste de monómeros aromáticos de vinila e ao menos um destes monómeros sendo selecionado do grupo que consiste de monómeros de nitrila com insaturação monoetilênica, e opcionalmente seguida de (c) polimerizar um ou mais monómeros em ao menos um estágio subseqúente na presença do substrato de borracha de (b), sendo que um ou mais dos monómeros compreende ao menos um monómero selecionado do grupo que consiste de monómeros de (meta)acrilato de alquila (C~ 1~-C~ 12~) ou um monómero de (meta)acrilato de arila; sendo que a quantidade do agente de reticulação não reagido que permanece no substrato de borracha antes da etapa (b) é menor que cerca de 5,6 micromoles por grama com base no peso seco do substrato de borracha.A invenção também se refere a uma composição de moldagem compreendendo uma resina ASA compreendendo uma fase elastomérica derivada de um substrato de borracha compreendendo unidades estruturais derivadas de ao menos um agente de reticulação; sendo que o substrato de borracha compreende menos que 5,6 micromoles do agente de reticulação não reagido por grama do substrato de borracha, com base no peso seco do substrato de borracha. Também são descrito os artigos compreendendo a dita resina ASA e/ou fabricados a partir de dita composição de moldagem.
