Abstract
COMPOSIçãO ADEQUADA PARA A FORMAçãO DE UMA CAMADA DE BARREIRA DE VAPOR, CAMADA DE BARREIRA DE VAPOR E PNEUMáTICO. E descrita uma composição bem adequada para formar camadas de barreira de vapor em artigos elastoméricos. A camada de barreira poderá ser incorporada, por exemplo, em artigos infláveis que se destinam a conter um gás como o ar, sob pressão. Por exemplo, em uma realização, a camada de barreira poderá ser incorporada em um pneumático para evitar que oxigênio ou outros componentes gasosos migrem através do pneumático. Em geral, a camada de barreira é feita de um elastómero que é combinado com partículas de redução de permeabílidade, como um silicato, e uma resina de hidrocarbonetos de terpeno tendo uma temperatura de transição de vidro relativamente elevada. A resina de hidrocarbonetos de terpeno pode melhorar a capacidade de processamento da composição e, em uma realização, pode mesmo servir para melhorar as características de permeabílidade da camada de barreira.
