Abstract

EQUIPAMENTO E MéTODO PARA A GERAçãO DE UMA SEQüêNCIA DE VìDEO CODIFICADO E PARA DECODIFICAçãO DE UMA SEQüêNCIA DE VìDEO CODIFICADO USANDO UMA PREDIçãO DE VALOR RESIDUAL DE CAMADA INTERMEDIáRIA. Um codificador de vídeo realiza uma predição com compensação de movimentos (1906, 1012, 1014, 1016) tanto na camada de base (1002) como na camada de realce (1004) para determinar dados de movimentos da camada de realce usando os dados de movimentos da camada de base e/ou para predizer seqüências de imagens de erro residual após a predição com compensação de movimentos na camada de realce usando seqüências de imagens de erro residual da camada de base por meio de um preditor de camada intermediária (1018) . No lado do decodificador, é usado um combinador de camada intermediária para o cancelamento dessa predição de camada intermediária. Portanto, é melhorada a taxa de dados quando comparada aos esquemas de escalabilidade, sem a predição da camada intermediária com a mesma qualidade de imagem.
