Abstract
BATERIA ALCALINA. Uma bateria alcalina compreendendo um eletrodo positivo misto, e um eletrodo negativo e, interposto entre eles, um separador, a mistura de eletrodo positivo contendo oxiidróxido de níquel, dióxido de manganês e um auxiliar de condução, em que (1) pelo menos o manganês é sólido dissolvido no oxiidróxido de níquel, o manganês ocupando 0,5 a 10 % molares da soma de elementos de metal contidos no oxiidróxido de níquel, e em que (2) o oxiidróxido de níquel é composto principalmente de uma estrutura <225>-cristalina, e em que (3) o oxiidróxido de níquel tem um diâmetro de partícula médio, com base no volume, de 8 a 15 <109>m. Em virtude do uso da mistura de eletrodo positivo acima, um aumento da capacidade e uma melhora nas características de armazenagem pode ser realizada quanto à bateria alcalina. Além disso, fazendo-se com que o oxiidróxido de níquel tendo manganês sólido nele dissolvido, tenha as propriedades acima, pode haver uma melhora notável da produtividade do oxiidróxido de níquel.
