Abstract

"PROCESSO DE SULFATO PARA A PRODUçãO DE TITáNIA A PARTIR DE UM MATERIAL TITANìFERO". Trata-se de um processo de sulfato para a produção de titânia a partir de material titanífero. O processo inclui a precipitação de sulfato de titanila em licores de lixívia que contêm soluções acídicas de sulfato de titanila. O processo é caracterizado por: (a) lixiviação em múltiplos estágios para produzir licores de lixívia contendo soluções acídicas de sulfato de titanila; (b) uso de licor de lixívia esgotado a partir de um reator de precipitação de sulfato de titanila nas etapas de lixiviação; e (c) controle da concentração de ácido nas etapas de lixiviação para evitar a hidrólise prematura e a precipitação prematura.
