Abstract
"MATERIAIS E ARTIGOS ABSORVENTES". A presente invenção se refere a um material absorvente formado pelo menos em parte a partir de um polímero reticulado. O material absorvente apresenta uma capacidade de retenção centrífuga conforme determinado pelo Teste de Capacidade de Retenção Centrífuga, de pelo menos 20 g/g; e uma permeabilidade de leito de gel sob uma carga, conforme determinado pelo Teste de Carga sob Permeabilidade de Leito de Gel, de pelo menos cerca de 200 X 10¬ -9¬ cm¬ 2¬; ou uma permeabilidade de leito de gel de intumescimento livre, conforme determinado pelo Teste de Permeabilidade de Leito de Gel de Intumescimento Livre, de pelo menos cerca de 2.500 x 10¬ -9¬ cm¬ 2¬. O polímero reticulado pode compreender seja pelo menos cerca de 75% em peso de polímero aniónico ou seja pelo menos cerca de 75% em peso de polímero catiónico. Em uma modalidade, o polímero reticulado é tratado na superfície com um polímero não reticulado solúvel em água, dotado de um potencial para se tornar carregado de forma oposta àquela do polímero reticulado.
