Abstract
"MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA COMPENSAR DESGASTE DE RODA EM UM TREM". Um método e sistema para compensar desgaste de roda utilizam informações de posição e/ou velocidade de um sistema de posicionamento independente para medir uma certa distância percorrida pelo trem. Informações de rotação de roda também são coletadas através da distância. As informações de rotação da roda e/ou informações de distância e/ou velocidade são então utilizadas para determinar o tamanho das rodas do trem. O método é executado periodicamente para corrigir alterações em um tamanho de roda com o passar do tempo devido a desgaste de modo que as informações de rotação de roda possam ser utilizadas para determinar a posição e velocidade do trem no caso de falha de um sistema de posicionamento.
