Abstract

"MODOS DE TRUQUE DE AVANçO EM VìDEO PROGRESSIVO UTILIZANDO GRUPOS ESPECIAIS DE IMAGENS". A invenção se refere a um método (200) e sistema (100) para codificar um sinal de vídeo. O método inclui as etapas de receber (212) um sinal de vídeo progressivo e codificar (214) o sinal de vídeo progressivo em pelo menos um grupo de imagens tendo pelo menos uma imagem-fonte de previsão e pelo menos uma imagem-fonte de não-previsão. Todas as imagens-fonte de não-previsão são previstas a partir da imagem-fonte de previsão de tal modo que nenhuma imagem-fonte de não-previsão é prevista a partir de uma outra imagemfonte de não-previsão. O método também pode incluir a etapa de, em resposta a um comando de modo de truque de avanço, modificar (217, 218) pelo menos o número de imagens-fonte de não-previsão no grupo de imagens para converter o sinal de vídeo progressivo em um sinal de vídeo de modo de truque.
