Abstract

"PROCESSO E EQUIPAMENTO PARA TRATAMENTO DE CARGAS OU RESìDUOS DE METAIS NãO FERROSOS E SUAS LIGAS". Contendo as etapas de carregamento de sucata ou borra a ser processada; aquecimento da carga e fusão do metal; revolvimento da carga aquecida; vazamento do metal líquido e esvaziamento da cavidade do forno, sendo o aquecimento da carga ou resíduos até uma temperatura acima da temperatura de fusão do metal ou liga não-ferrosa a ser recuperada realizado por meio de um arco convectivo de queima livre, que independe do fornecimento de gás exterior ao processo, e por poder dispensar a utilização de sais fundentes. O equipamento para aplicação do processo possui as seguintes características: é constituído por um vaso tampado que possui um eixo de revolução em torno do qual pode ser girado ou simplesmente submetido a um movimento oscilatório; apresenta a possibilidade do eixo de revolução do vaso repousar no plano horizontal ou ser inclinado acima e abaixo desse plano; ser aquecido por meio de um arco convectivo de queima livre, auto-estabilizado e gerado por uma descarga elétrica em corrente contínua que, em função do ajuste do ângulo (<244>) de inclinação do eixo de rotação do vaso e da quantidade de material nele alimentado, pode ser estabelecido entre um único eletrodo introduzido no forno e a carga nele alimentada ou a parede de fundo do vaso construída de material condutor de eletricidade; o eletrodo operar como catodo e ser introduzido através da tampa do vaso, preferencialmente segundo um eixo excêntrico ou inclinado em relação ao eixo de rotação do forno, posicionado preferencialmente acima deste, e poder ser deslocado ao longo do seu eixo para ajuste do comprimento do arco.
