Abstract

"MéTODO QUE USA GENES PARA MODIFICAR CAROTENOIDES PARA A PRODUçãO DE KETOCAROTENIODES, GENES DE KETOLASE DE CAROTENOIDES E PRODUTOS DA GANESE". Trata a presente invenção de uma seq³ência de ácido nucleico purificado que codifica a proteína que possui a atividade da enzima ketolase existente e que tem uma seq³ência de acido nucleico de SEQ ID NO: 1 ou 3; ou então que tem uma seq³ência que codifica a seq³ência de aminoácidos de SEQ ID NO: 2 ou 4; bem como vetores e células hospedeiras contendo-os. Métodos de obtenção das seq³ências de ácido nucleico para produzir ketocarotenoides nas células hospedeiras e métodos de aplicação das seq³ências de ácido nucleico para modificar a produção de carotenoides numa célula hospedeira, inclusive.
