Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR FITOL, UM DERIVADO DE FITENO, ISOFITOL, UM DERIVADO DE ISOFITENO, OU UMA MISTURA DOS MESMOS, COMPOSTO DE EPOXIFITILA SUBSTITUìDO, COMPOSTO DE FITENO SUBSTITUìDO, PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR O MESMO, PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR ALFA-TOCOFEROL, E, PROCESSO PARA CONVERTER GERANILGERANIOL A ALFA-TOCOFEROL". A invenção fornece processos para a produção de fitol, isofitol, e certos derivados de fitol por um processo de oxidação ou epoxidação de geranilgeraniol ou derivados de geranilgeraniol para formar derivados de epoxi-geranilgeraniol, reduzindo ou hidrogenando os derivados de epoxi-geranilgeraniol para produzir derivados de epoxifitol, e então desoxigenando os derivados de epoxifitol para produzir fitol, isofitol, derivados de fiteno, derivados de isofiteno, ou misturas dos mesmos. O estágio de desoxigenação é executado na presença de catalisadores de desoxigenação, incluindo compostos de trióxido de rênio.
