Um processo para a recuperação de acrilonitrila de um fluxo efluente do reator de amoxidação contendo acrilonitrila, água e impurezas orgânicas, incluindo passando um fluxo de resíduos absorvente através de uma coluna única de destilação/separação (80), gerando um fluxo suspenso rico em acrilonitrila (96), um fluxo lateral de água sem proveito (84), e um fluxo de resíduos de destilação/separação (92)contendo impurezas orgânicas, onde o fluxo suspenso rico em acrilonitrila é passado em condensador (98) e em um decantador (100) para separar água da acrilonitrila.
