Um composto de éster representado pela fórmula: em que R é um átomo de hidrogênio, um grupo alquila C~ 1~-C~ 3~ não substituído ou substituído com um ou mais átomos de halogênio, um grupo alila não substituído ou substituído com um ou mais átomos de halogênio, ou um grupo propargila não substituído ou substituído com um ou mais átomos de halogênio; e X é um átomo de hidrogênio, um átomo de halogênio, um grupo alquila C~ 1~-C~ 3~ não substituído ou substituído com um ou mais átomos de halogênio, um grupo alquenila C~ 2~-C~ 3~ não substituído ou substituído com um ou mais átomos de halogênio, um grupo alquinila C~ 2~-C~ 3~ não substituído ou substituído com um ou mais átomos de halogênio, um grupo alcoxi C~ 1~-C~ 3~ não substituído ou substituído com um ou mais átomos de halogênio, um grupo alquiltio C~ 1~-C~ 3~ não substituído ou substituído com um ou mais átomos de halogênio, ou um grupo alcoximetila C~ 1~-C~ 3~ contendo um grupo alcoxi C~ 1~-C~ 3~ não substituído ou substituído com um ou mais átomos de halogênio, tem um excelente efeito no controle de pestes.
