Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A FORMAçãO DE UMA DISPERSãO DE PARTìCULAS SECAS DE POLITETRAFLUOROETILENO" A presente invenção se refere a um processo para a formação de uma dispersão de partículas secas de politetrafluoroetileno em um veículo orgânico fluido compreendendo as etapas de: a) funcionalização de superfície das partículas de politetrafluoroetileno possuindo tamanho primário médio de partícula de menos de um mícron com feixe de elétrons ou irradiação gama de pelo menos 4 Mrad na presença de oxigênio atmosférico e água ou seleção de partículas de politetrafluoroetileno possuindo tamanho primário médio de partícula de menos de um mícron, que tenham sido submetidas a feixe de elétrons ou irradiação gama de pelo menos 4 Mrad na presença de oxigênio atmosférico e água, a fim de funcionalizar a superfície das partículas; b) mistura das partículas irradiadas com o líquido e pelo menos um dispersante em quantidade suficiente para estabilizar a dispersão, a fim de formar uma mistura; c) passagem da mistura, ao menos uma vez, através de vários bicos no interior de uma câmara de interação líquido-jato a uma pressão de pelo menos 1000 psi, a fim de desaglomerar as partículas de politetrafluoroetileno.
