Abstract

"COMPOSIçãO PARA REVESTIMENTO OU RETOQUE OU PARA AMBOS REVESTIMENTO E RETOQUE DE UMA SUPERFìCIE METáLICA, E, PROCESSO PARA REVESTIR OU RETOCAR OU PARA AMBOS REVESTIR E RETOCAR UMA SUPERFìCIE". Defeitos em um revestimento protetor inicial, particularmente em um revestimento de conversão, sobre um substrato metálico pode ser retocado de modo a pelo menos igualar ao revestimento original em termos de proteção contra corrosão por intermédio do uso de um líquido aquoso ácido seco-no-local compreendendo: ânions de fluoro-metalato; um componente selecionado do grupo consistindo de óxi-ânions inorgânicos contendo fósforo e ânions de fosfonato; e um agente oxidante, preferivelmente uma mistura de cromo trivalente e hexavalente. Outros ingredientes ativos opcionais preferidos incluem íons fluoreto livres, que estabilizam os íons fluoro-metalato contra a formação de precipitados, e um agente tensoativo fluorado. A mesma composição também forma um revestimento protetor efetivo sobre metal previamente não revestido, particularmente alumínio.
