Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"SISTEMA DE CONDICIONAMENTO DE AR DE ALTA EFICIêNCIA COM DISTRIBUIçãO DE AR DE ALTO VOLUME"<D>. Um sistema e um método para provisão de ar condicionado para o espaço interno de uma construção que inclui funções de desumidificação e de resfriamento sensível separadas. A desumidificação separada permite temperaturas de ar de suprimento muito mais altas, preferencialmente cerca de -12,2°C 10°F a cerca de -9,5°C (15°F) da temperatura do ar do espaço da construção. Uma distribuição de ar a baixa velocidade através de um teto repleto de matéria ou uma ventilação para o espaço permite pressões estáticas de ventilador muito baixas, o que reduz grandemente o uso de energia de ventilador, se comparado a sistemas de dutos convencionais. As pressões estáticas baixas e as temperaturas de ar de suprimento altas permitem o uso de uma construção de teto suspenso existente com poucas modificações. Canais de retorno de ar opcionais entre um envidraçamento interno e um envidraçamento externo das janelas externas pode virtualmente eliminar as cargas de aquecimento no perímetro da construção, o que virtualmente elimina a necessidade de aquecimento e resfriamento simultâneos.
