Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide with ease of construction, desiccation under the floor and improvement in even heating of the floor surface by a construction wherein the downstair ceiling is heat insulative construction with an air inlet hole at a corner, while the upstair floor is provided of heat accumulative material with an air exit hole at an opposite corner. A void space between the upstair floor and downstair ceiling is arranged for facilitating ventilation. CONSTITUTION:A downstair ceiling 1 heat inrulative cnstruction and upstair floor 3 is provided of heat accumulative material. The ventilated void space 5 is formed between the ceiling 1 and the floor 3 with the air inlet 2 and the air exit hole 4 provided respectively. A blower 15 is activated in the daytime except summer with a damper 14c on a three-way duct shut off to circulate warm air 9 which is heated by thermal energy from the sun through glass panes 10, via the three-way duct 14, horizontal ducting 14b, downstair room 6, air inlet 2, ventilated void space 5, air exit hole 3, upstair room 7 and venting space 8. During such air circulation, heat is stored in the heat accumulative floor 3 from which the heat is gradually radiated in the upstair room 7 for space heating. During summer, the damper 14c is switched to draw ambient air 18 through a cold intake piping 13 by operating the blower 15. By such a simple setup, the floor surface can evenly be heated and the space under the floor can be desiccated.
