Abstract

Patente de Invenção para <B>"PROCESSO PARA DIAGNOSTICAR DOENçAS PSIQUIáTRICAS"<D>. Um processo para dignosticar uma doença psiquiátrica em um indivíduo, o processo compreendendo as etapas de: medir o modelo de um parâmetro biofísico do indivíduo, e usar referido modelo para diagnosticar a doença psiquiátrica. Verificou-se que certos estados clínicos estão consistentemente associados com modelos distintamente diferentes. Perfis normais e anormais são estabelecidos, e os indivíduos são testados pelo monitoramento do modelo de um dado parâmetro, e comparando-se referido modelo com modelos de referência indicativos de uma doença psiquiátrica. A taxa cardíaca é um parâmetro biofísico que pode ser prontamente e convenientemente medida. As doenças psiquiátricas podem ser identificadas e diagnosticadas de análise de modelos característicos dentro de porções do modelo de taxa cardíaca circadian. Em uma forma particular, o modelo de taxa cardíaca é medido sobre aproximandamente 90 minutos. A porção do modelo de taxa cardíaca circadian é preferivelmente a porção de dormir, e, em particular, a porção de dormir incluindo a transição do indivíduo dormindo ou acordado. Preferivelmente, a taxa cardíaca do indivíduo é medida com monitor que é discreto e deixa a pessoa livremente ambulante. Os modelos de taxa cardíaca podem ser afetados por uma faixa de fatores. Alguns fatores podem produzir ruídos que impedem a interpretação do modelo de taxa cardíaca.
