Abstract

<B>LENTE OFTáLMICA MULTIFOCAL<D>, compreendendo uma região de visão de longe, uma região de visão de perto uma região de visão intermediária e um meridiano principal de progressão que passa através dessas três regiões, sendo que um comprimento principal de progressão, definido como uma relação entre o aumento de ampliação e a inclinação máxima da esfera média ao longo do meridiano é menor do que 16 mm, a esfera varia de uma forma monótona como uma função do ângulo em um círculo de 20 mm de raio centralizado em um centro geométrico da lente em ambos os lados do dito meridiano, e onde a região de visão de longe delimitada em uma parte superior da dita lente por linhas formadas de pontos para os quais o cilindro é igual a meio aumento de ampliação inclui um setor angular que tem a sua origem no centro geométrico da lente com um ângulo incluso maior do que 150 graus. Isto proporciona uma boa distribuição das linhas de isocilindro e ionosfera sobre a lente, assegurando que a progressão seja muito suave.
