Abstract

<B>LENTE OFTáLMICA<D> com uma face asférica que tem uma região de visão de perto que é maior no tamanho e mais larga do que no caso das lentes mutifocais convencionais, e tem aberrações reduzidas, e notadamente o astigmatismo. Ao se empregar <30> para indicar uma diferença na esfera média entre o ponto de controle da visão de perto e o centro geométrico da lente, isto é obtido ao se formar uma área de superfície definida por pontos a menos de 20 mm do centro geométrico da lente, e para os quais o cilindro fica compreendido entre 0,42 <30> e 0,84 <30> a mais do que a área de superfície definida pelos pontos a menos de 20 mm do centro geométrico, e para os quais o cilindro é menor do que 0,42 <30>.
