Abstract

<B>REATOR DE PERFIL ELEVADO DE INTERENGATE DE SUPERFìCIE<D>. é revelado um reator de policondensação para poliésteres, poliamidas ou poliarilatos no qual um material de VI baixa é introduzido no reator e um polímero de VI elevada relativa sai do reator. O reator tem pelo menos duas câmaras interiores cilíndricas sobrepostas, cada uma com um eixo giratório através de seu comprimento. Cada eixo tem uma pluralidade de agitadores e espaçadores projetados para esfregar todas as superfícies interiores do reator. Os agitadores podem ser formados como um perfil ciclóide ou em evolvente, por exemplo. Geralmente os agitadores em cada eixo são indexados entre si preferivelmente em 90‹ e interengatam-se com agitadores no eixo adjacente. Agitação do material de VI baixa mediante giro dos agitadores (nos eixos) através do material espalha o mesmo em uma pluralidade de películas finas. à medida que na temperatura e condições de vácuo do reator, um componente volátil é removido, dessa forma fazendo com que o material polimerize, mediante condensação, formando um polímero de VI relativamente alta.
