Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>''PROCESSO DE FITOMINERAçãO DE NìQUEL, COBALTO E OUTROS METAIS DO SOLO''<D>. Níquel / cobalto, bem como os membros da família dos metais platina e paládio, são recuperados do solo, pelo cultivo de plantas Brassicaceae, especificamente Alyssum, em solo contendo níquel / cobalto, bem como outros metais. O solo é condicionado mantendo-se um pH baixo, concentração baixa de cálcio e adicionando-se fertilizante amónio e agentes quelantes ao mesmo. Acumulação de níquel da ordem de 2,5 porcento ou mais em tecidos aéreos é alcançada, o que permite a recuperação do metal colhendo-se os materiais aéreos das plantas, secando-se e, então, submetendo-os a combustão, para oxidar ou vaporizar materiais orgânicos e recuperar os metais seq³estrados nos mesmos em concentrações 10 - 20 vezes maiores do que no solo, em uma forma que pode ser utilizada em operações de fusão e refinação de Ni convencionais.
