Abstract
"TRANSMISSOR PARA USO EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO, E, PROCESSO PARA A MODULAçãO DE UM SINAL DE SAìDA DE UM CIRCUITO TRAVADO EM FASE EM UM TRANSMISSOR DE RáDIO". Um sistema (10) e processo são fornecidos nos quais um gerador de modulação de fase (12) é utilizado para modular o sinal de saída de um DDS (18) com um índice de modulação, h/N. A saída DDS modulada em fase aciona um PLL (26), que é um estágio de conversão ascendente para um transmissor de rádio, com o sinal DDS modulado como referência do PLL (26). A saída do PLL (26) terá um índice de modulação de h. Consequentemente, a banda de freq³ência da saída DDS (18) é significativamente mais estreita do que a banda de freq³ência dos estágios de conversão ascendente utilizados nos transmissores convencionais, e existem significativamente menos emissões espúrias no sinal transmitido. Entretanto, um transmissor empregando a presente topologia PLL acionado por DDS modulado em fase ainda pode transmitir através de uma banda de freq³ência relativamente larga.
