Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA REMOçãO DE CROMO E/OU EMPOBRECIMENTO DO TEOR DE MgO EM ESCóRIAS DE AçO"<D>. Em um processo para remoção de cromo de escórias de aço introduz-se oxigênio em uma escala nas escórias de aço líquidas, que é suficiente, para converter quantitativamente ferro em óxido de ferro e pelo menos 5% em peso do óxido de ferro contido na escória são convertidos em óxido de ferro III. A escória oxidada é reduzida, sendo que as frações paramagnéticas formadas são separadas magneticamente e removidas das escórias sem cromo.
