LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA EL DESCROMADO DE ESCORIA DE ACERO, POR EL QUE SE INTRODUCE OXIGENO EN LA ESCORIA DE ACERO LIQUIDA, EN CANTIDAD SUFICIENTE PARA CONVERTIR CUANTITATIVAMENTE EL HIERRO EN OXIDO DE HIERRO, Y AL MENOS UN 5% EN PESO DEL OXIDO DE HIERRO PRESENTE EN LA ESCORIA EN OXIDO DE HIERRO-III. LA ESCORIA OXIDADA RESULTANTE SE ENDURECE Y TRITURA, SEPARANDOSE MAGNETICAMENTE LAS PORCIONES PARA MAGNETICA FORMADAS Y DISOCIANDOSE DE LA ESCORIA DESCROMADA.
