Abstract
<B>PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE SOLUçõES PARA A PURIFICAçãO DE áGUA QUE CONTêM FERRO FéRRICO E UTILIZAçãO DOS PRODUTOS OBTIDOS,<D> ou seja, um processo para a preparação, a partir de ferro ferroso, de produtos químicos em forma de solução, que contenham ferro férrico, para tratamento de água, a um produto granulado intermediário obtido no processo e à utilização de produtos finais do processo. No processo, uma matéria prima que contém ferro ferroso na forma de uma solução aquosa e, possivelmente, impurezas, é oxidada a uma temperatura elevada, de modo a serem obtidos um composto férrico precipitado, substancialmente puro, e uma fase de solução que contenha tais impurezas. A idéia essencial da invenção é que a precipitação seja efetuada de modo tal que a parte do ferro férrico se precipite na forma de goetita, FeO(OH), ou, na presença de íons de sulfato, na forma de jarosita hidratada, H~3~OFe~3~(OH)~6~(SO~4~)~2~, enquanto que parte do ferro permanece como um composto férrico solúvel em água na fase de solução. As matérias primas adequadas incluem sulfato ferroso impuro e soluções de decapagem que contêm cloreto ferroso. O composto férrico precipitado, puro pode, ainda, ser separado por meio de filtragem ou, alternativamente, a pasta pode ser granulada para formar um produto sólido intermediário e posteriormente reconvertida em pasta na água, com o que um composto férrico puro pode ser separado por meio de filtragem. O composto férrico puro é dissolvido em um ácido, com o que é adequado como coagulante para a purificação de água potável e a fase de solução é adequada como tal como coagulante para o tratamento de água servida.
