Abstract
"SISTEMA DE SUSPENSãO PARA EMPREGO COM UM VEìCULO QUE TEM UM CHASSI". Trata-se de um sistema de suspensão de veículo com um par de suportes suspensores (5) e um par de longarinas (15). Uma primeira extremidade de cada longarina é presa, através de uma luva de embuchamento, a cada suporte suspensor, e um eixo (19) é rigidamente preso à segunda extremidade de cada longarina. Cada longarina é fabricada a partir de uma série de camadas de material laminado que se estende em sentido circunferencial em volta do eixo e da luva de embuchamento (30). Uma camada adesiva estende-se entre a luva de embuchamento e o eixo, e as camadas de material laminado, para prender a luva de embuchamento e o eixo à longarina. Uma vez que o material laminado e o adesivo tem um módulo de elasticidade relativamente baixo, esses materiais se flexionam em resposta ao movimento do eixo, deste modo assegurando-se que a ligação entre a barra laminada (15) e o eixo (19) permaneça estavel, mesmo que o eixo se mova em resposta a forças atuantes sobre ele. Em uma outra modalidade da invenção, cada longarina 47 e formada de maneira integrante com um pistão de mola pneumática (48). Em uma outra modalidade da invenção, uma suspensão em paralelogramo é dotada de um par de braços de controle paralelos e afastados entre si (62) fabricados de material laminado. Alternativamente, os braços de controle da suspensão do tipo de paralelogramo podem ser formados de maneira integrante com uma barra estabilizadora (68) que se estende entre eles. Em modalidades alternativas, um par de pistões de mola pneumática (48) pode ser montado sobre a barra estabilizadora (68), reduzindo-se substancialmente o peso e o custo relacionados com a fabricação e o funcionamento de sistemas de suspensão de mola pneumática.
