Abstract

É divulgada uma composição, tal como um precursor de catalisador ou um catalisador compreendendo um suporte de sílica revestido com Cr com níveis particularmente definidos de Na e Al, de modo que o catalisador de Cr/Sílica resultante tenha um potencial de MI aumentado. Em uma modalidade, a composição de catalisador revelada compreende um substrato contendo sílica obtido usando um gel fixado por base e compreendendo um metal cataliticamente ativo consistindo em Cr, com impurezas de Al inferiores a 50 ppm e Na em uma quantidade inferior a 800 ppm de a composição do catalisador. A composição revelada tem um potencial de MI aumentado em relação a um catalisador com maior teor de Al, uma razão Na:Al mais baixa ou ambos.
