Abstract

LEVEDURA QUE EXPRESSA GLUCOAMILASE HETERÓLOGA. A presente invenção refere-se a uma célula hospedeira de levedura recombinante para sacarificação de uma biomassa. A célula hospedeira de levedura recombinante possui uma modificação genética para expressar um polipeptídeo heterólogo com atividade de glucoamilase (Rasamsonia emersonii glucoamilase). Em algumas modalidades, o polipeptídeo heterólogo compreende a sequência de sinal associada ao fator de acasalamento alfa 1. A presente invenção também refere-se a um processo para sacarificação de uma biomassa usando a célula hospedeira de levedura recombinante, bem como, um processo para fermentação da biomassa sacarificada em um produto de fermentação.
