Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a uma emulsão com teor de sólidos ultra-alto compreendendo uma pluralidade de partículas de polímero de múltiplas fases, nas quais as partículas de múltiplas fases compreendem um copolímero acrílico derivado de monômeros compreendendo um metacrilato de alquila; um acrilato de alquila; um acrilato de hidroxialquila; pelo menos um ou mais ácidos; um composto aromático de vinila; e um vinil éster ou vinil lactama, um tensoativo copolimerizável, pelo menos um ou mais tensoativos não iônicos livres de etoxilato de alquilfenol (APE) e pelo menos um ou mais tensoativos aniônicos livres de APE em meio aquoso na presença de um iniciador e um tampão. Adicionalmente, métodos para a preparação de tal emulsão com teor de sólidos ultra-alto e aplicações de tal emulsão em revestimentos e adesivos são descritos.
