Abstract
o material de acordo com a invenção, é um copolímero acrílico, o qual é reticulado, viscoelástico, flexível e deformável à temperatura ambiente e hidrofóbico, com pelo menos 50% em peso de monômeros acrílicos ou metacrílicos e álcool cinâmico. a mistura de monômeros inclui preferencialmente: pelo menos um arilalcoxi-acrilato ou um arilalcoxi-metacrilato; pelo menos um acrilato hidroxilado e um metacrilato hidroxilado; pelo menos um diol diacrilato etoxilado e um diol dimetacrilato etoxilado; e álcool cinâmico. o dito material é obtido em uma única etapa de polimerização de radical e é apresentado na forma de uma rede macromolecular tridimensional que inclui uma unidade de álcool cinâmico. o dito material é usado para fabricar lentes intraoculares (1).
