Abstract
a presente invenção fornece um copolímero que demonstra resistência ao calor, fluidez, propriedades mecânicas, aparência, baixa absorção de água e capa-cidade de moldagem superiores. em adição, a presente invenção fornece um pro-cesso para produção de um copolímero que possibilita que o copolímero resultante demonstre resistência ao calor, fluidez, propriedades mecânicas, aparência, baixa absorção de água e capacidade de moldagem superiores. o copolímero da presente invenção é um copolímero que contém 80 mol% ou mais de uma unidade de (met)acrilato de metila (a), em que a temperatura de amolecimento vicat do mesmo é 115¿c ou superior, a taxa de absorção de água saturada do mesmo a 60¿c é 4% em peso ou inferior e o índice de amarelamento do mesmo é 1 ou inferior. em adição, o processo para produção de um copolímero da presente invenção compreende a ob-tenção de um precursor através da polimerização em suspensão de uma mistura de monômeros que contém 80 mol% ou mais de (met)acrilato de metila (a) e 0,7 mol% a 7 mol% de ácido (met)acrílico (b), seguida pela fusão e pela mistura do precursor resultante com uma extrusora para a obtenção de um copolímero que contém 80 mol% ou mais de uma unidade de (met)acrilato de metila (a), 0,45 mol% a 7 mol% de uma unidade de ácido (met)acrílico (b) e 0,001 mol% a 0,25 mol% de uma unida-de de anidrido glutárico (c).
